Superfine Sandalwood Powder
Western Australian Superfine Sandalwood Powder or SSP is a beautiful powder that compliments our current Sandalwood powder. The SSP however is ultra special.
Here’s why:
It’s a very fine, micronized sandalwood powder of pure western Australian Sandalwood with a consistency that is similar to talcum powder or flour. Due to the minute size of the particles, SSP is ideal to mix with other ingredients to make a non-gritty, smooth and calming paste that can be beautifully applied to the face. There is no grinding needed and it applies beautifully, is soothing and relaxing. Perfect for acne or blemishes.
Apart from personal care facial products, the SSP can also be used, like our standard powder to use as incense. Due to the fluffiness of the powder, there is no binding agent needed when used in an incense powder. It can be blended with other powders or used on its own. Australian Hydrosols
What is Hydrosol?
Hydrosol is the aromatic water that remains after distillation of oils from plants and trees. Towards the end of the distillation process, vapour collects in a condenser. As this cools it separates into water and essential oil. The water is called Hydrosol. Unlike floral waters, where essential oil is added to distilled water, Hydrosol has a slightly different aroma to the essential oil. While hydrosols are perfect for electric diffusers and air sprays, the benefit is in the plant matter.
Hydrosol can be substituted for water in skin care recipes and makes wonderful linen and aromatherapy sprays, facial mists, and ingredients for homemade body care. Use as a toner, or add to a clay for a mask.
